iPhone 11 ‘coming in TWO new colors’ we’ve never seen from Apple before, report claims

APPLE may be launching two new colors for an upcoming iPhone later this year.

A new report claims that the rumored iPhone XR2 will be available in Lavender and Green paint jobs.

For years, Apple had generally stuck with pretty boring iPhone colors – like white, silver or black.

The two exceptions were the "fun" iPhone 5C and iPhone XR ranges, which came in more vibrant hues.

Now Apple is reportedly looking to extend its color offering with the iPhone XR2, expected to launch in September 2019.

According to specialist tech site MacOtakara, the iPhone XR2 will be available in Lavender and Green colors.

Apple has never released a Lavender iPhone so this would be a brand new offering from the firm.

However, the company did offer the iPhone 5C in green – but it was a very pastel version of the color.

The iPhone XR range, meanwhile, is very vibrant, so it's likely that the new green would be much brighter.

Currently, the iPhone XR is available in White, Black, Blue, Yellow, Coral and Red.

But according to the MacOtakara report, the Coral and Blue colors would be binned.

It's possible that Apple isn't seeing good uptake of these colors from iPhone fans.

This could be a bid to attract more buyers with colors that are potentially more popular.

Of course, it's impossible to verify the MacOtakara report, so these new colors might never actually launch.

And even if they are currently planned, Apple could change its mind ahead of the September reveal. Apple launched the iPhone XR in September 2018, with the phone landing in UK stores one month later.

The phone landed alongside the more expensive iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, which ranged from £999 to £1,449.

By contrast, the lower-spec iPhone XR started at just £749, making it the cheapest 2018 iPhone you could buy.
